I got adopted by these cats while at Kalani, Big Island, Hawaii. They would wait for me in the morning to be fed. I read in an interview with Sharon Callan: ‘Cats are the epitome of relationship. Feral colonies are very intimate if left undisturbed. They are very intimate with one another. Caring for feral cats is hugely spiritually growth-full. It awakens Compassion in a safe way like almost nothing else. I have learned so much from them about courage, steadfastness, dignity, intimacy and proper boundaries. They are magnificent creatures.’

Especially two started to look for me, guiding the way to their feeding rock or to my tent to get some love.
